Blind Faith : Do some believe to easily? When I was young I was very much involved in the Church?

Now that I'm older I find that what taught as a kid much harder to believe. We, I was taught that GOD was almighty, all powerful, if thats true, then obviously there are people, places and things that GOD choses not ot help. One day I was thinking about all the sadness in the World that we had the time, this was even before the disaster that shook and still shakes Japan, and before the weather that befell our South and the many lives lost there.. At the time I WAS thinking about the tidal wave that had hit Hatti, who already had more than their share of pain and starvation, then one night I was watching a show about the Holocaust and a man, a suviver he said ..........HE ASKED WHERE WAS GOD when all those millions of people WERE SCREAMING FOR HIS HELP ? I thought it was a VERY GOOD QUESTION... ................I don't remember everything I was taught back when I was young but isn't GOD our shepard and us his flock... TELL ME WHY I should believe. If it were my job to protect people and did no better I would surely get fired.. Any TIME though the EONS when someone would dare ask why didn't GOD help, we, they were always told GOD works in mysterious ways or something to that affect,,,after all those EONS it's starting to sound LAME.. If GOD left us to fare for ourselves, did that mean war ? or everything. If it's everything then why do we hold him so high? Why do we praise someone ,who could do so much ,but does so little ? Maybe I need help , but I'm starting to find it easier to believe in fantastric coincidences then to believe in Miracles. I did not chose to feel this WAY ! It was forced upon me.
