Whats you beliefs on pre earth life (question for specific beliefs)?

Mormons for example belive that everyone lived for eons with god in heaven and that a veil was place over them when they entered this world. So if you believe something like that whats the point of the veil? For some one like me you believe that In heaven I used to be good but this veil thing, it turned me into an evil person (yes I'm pretty evil)
