Is a woman "ruined" after she is raped as far as normal intimacy is concerned?

If a woman is traumatized after her rape is there any hope that she'll eventually learn to cope with it? Is there any chance of her returning to normal? Is she ruined as far as intimacy is concerned with no baggage?
