She still loves you but she just doesn't know what to think - that whole gum incident may have caused other things from her past to rush back to her and being short with you/snappy was her way of coping with those feelings. Let her know that you'll be there for her when she's ready to come back to you, and give her time because that is what she needs at the moment.
