Why is it important to find out if water affects the rate of dissolution ?
I did an experiment on whether the temperature of water affects how fast a tablet dissolves. I found that the higher the temperature the faster the tablet dissolved because of the molecules being more active. But I need to know why its important to find out the answer to this question? Is it because mining companies use dissolution to dissolve minerals such as gold from rock. They use high temperatures because its faster. What are some other reasons its important to find the answer to this question?
